Hi SirAeleon, thanks for the great review! I really appreciate it.
I've just been down and spoken with my lads in the workshop, and they are almost finished preparing and masking up the RTA Volvo FH16 ready for it's GTR Logistics paintjob, so it will be going into the paint booth tomorrow. The lads have agreed that the Peterbilt 359 definitely needs to be done next and they have suggested a full bare-metal respray (they are all such perfectionists!). I've given them the OK for the overtime, so they are going to work through the weekend and get it sanded back, remove all of the trim & chromework and get it masked up ready to go into the paint booth as soon as the Volvo is dry!
So, with a bit of luck you'll have two new GTR Logistics trucks added to the Fleet Pack next week, just in time for the New Year truck shows.
I'd better go and order another 50 litres of GTR Red paint!
I hope everyone is having a great Christmas/Holiday Season,
Cheers
Ian

Thanks Neskonian for the kind words. While it was a bit of battle at first it did give me the opportunity to make some very worthwhile changes in my life which I probably wouldn't have made otherwise, and things actually feel like they are now as they always should have been.
It's funny how life works itself out if we give it a chance, and the big bonus is that I get time now to do the stuff that I love doing like driving and painting the trucks!

Hi Everyone,
I am pleased to announce that the latest OziModz Truck & Trailer Paintwork Pack, "Blue Neo", is now officially released, and, thanks to the support of Michael and the team here at RTA Mods this entire pack is available as a Free download!
The "Blue Neo" paintwork is a modern "Tech" design based on a deep prussian blue metallic with a subtle darkening "flip" paint effect. The design features shadowed inset cut-away panels that contain a textured chrome backing plate with a pattern of circular holes which appear to emit a subtle neon backlighting. The cut-away sections are outlined with custom glow effect coachstriping and there is an horizontal neon tube-like stripe flanked by a pair of keylined painted stripes which bridge the inset panels and off which the raised "Network Grid" logo graphic runs.
This Paintwork Design has been customised for the following RTA Trucks & Trailers:
Kenworth T908: All Cabs
Peterbilt 359: All Cabs (4x2 and 6x4)
Western Star WS4800: Both Cabs
Vawdrey Reefer : Single, B/Double and Road Train
South Cross "Superlite" Skeleton: Single and B/Double (Containers)
Maxicube Reefer
The direct link to the new section of the OziModz website to download these paintworks: https://ozimodz.com/modz/truck-trailer-combo-paintworks.html
I hope you enjoy these new paintworks for your trucks and trailers,
Cheers

Hi room217au,
I use the standard RTA Vawdrey templates, except that I resize the "short" trailer template up to 4096x4096px.
That said, depending on the design, the "long" trailer can require adjusting to compensate for some distortions in order to match pattern scale and get panels/linework aligned correctly across faces and across the two trailers, which I just do by eye or pixel counting.
Below are the templates I use (jpeg) with the rescaled short trailer:

ah yeah.
To be honest, counting pixels is not my idea of fun.
y'know, I really wouldn't care if a template released by RAT that shows ONLY the two sides of the trailer, would be fantastic.
You'd reckon, that a bunch of folks that created beautiful b-doubles and triples, could include a template that actually works properly.
I'll pass for now, thanks.

room217au,
I agree whole heartedly with you regarding RTA's templates - you would think they could produce something (templates) appropriate to the quality of their models.
I only have ETS so I can create skins, I don't play the thing. I buy RTA trucks because they are the best models available. Rationally though, if I only buy the trucks for the purpose of creating skins for them and the provided templates are poor, why would I continue to pay good money for something I can't use out of the box, so to speak?
More to the point, pay good money to RTA just to necessitate inconveniencing another person (Geronimo_Express) having to fix the templates so they can be used when RTA should be the guys fixing them and making them usable?

I think it's great that Geronimo_Express has taken the time and effort.
The truck templates have traditionally been excellent from RTA, but the Vawdrey one has missed the boat in terms of functionality. Sure, we can mess about with the provided template - even to the point of importing the MaxiCube model into Blender and attempting to make my own template by following guides and tutorials at SCS Forums - but very few people have the knowledge or expertise to 'fix' something that shouldn't be broken.
We live in hope.

Hi Everyone,
I am pleased to announce that another OziModz Truck & Trailer Paintwork Pack, "Ruby Cubes", is now officially released. Thanks again to Michael and the team here at RTA Mods this entire pack is available as a Free download!
This paintwork design utilizes a technique which I had originally developed for use in creating background patterns for cheques and other high security documents to provide protection against copying. I won't bore you with the theory behind it, but what it does is make the paintwork look very different depending on the amount and direction of light hitting it. The end result is a visually dynamic paintwork that looks quite vivid in full light and deep and almost "smokey" in low light, accentuating the contrasting graduated coachlines. This effect is most noticeable when reflection quality is set to high in the graphic settings in ETS/ATS.
In addition to the paintwork, this pack also includes a customised interior comprising new seat trim and bedding for both the K108 and the K200, plus a "Ruby Cubes" design dashboard, interior trim panels and cabinets for the K200!
This Paintwork Design has been customised for the following RTA Trucks & Trailers for both ATS & ETS2:
Kenworth K108
Kenworth K200
Vawdrey Reefer Single, B/Double and Road Train
Maxicube Reefer

I hope you enjoy this new paintworks and interior trim,
Cheers
