Thanks Guys, it was a challenging one that was definitely easier to imagine than to create, so I am glad you like it.

It's been a five day marathon to create but I can finally confirm that I have just added the new Ruby Cubes paintwork for one of my favourite trucks, the Renault T Range high-cab, to the OziModz Ruby Cubes Combo Pack for FREE download:

Direct Link: https://www.ozimodz.com/modz/truck-trailer-combo-packs/ruby-cubes-combo-pack.html

I hope you enjoy the new paintwork for this great truck,

Cheers

So I d'loaded the templates you posted for the Vawdrey b-double trailers. There's two files in the zip. One says "short" and the other "long". I'm assumimg this means for "A" and "B" trailers?
Or is it only for the single 40ft trailers?
Can you gimme a lil more insight here pls? :)

room,

The "Short" is the RDD trailer and the "Long" is the RD Trailer.

Just came back to say I figured that part out lol
While I was there I made a simple, quick paintjob, just for the 'b' trailer.
Using Geronimo's template, the artwork is still stretch both horizontally and vertically. Like I dragged the edges to meet the template.
I give up.

Great trucks. Great trailers. But the templates are garbage.

Can you put up a shot of the skin template and the trailer with the skin on it so we can get a visual of what you are saying?

I only ask as the skin I did for the RD template came out the same on the truck as it did on the template ... no distortion of any kind that I noticed.

The only issue I found with the templates was the RDD template isn't the same scale (I think that is right) as the RD template. In other words, if you do a skin for the RD template, that skin wont directly copy to the RDD template as it will appear "larger" on it. I had to "shrink" the RD template a little to get it to fit the same as on the RDD template as it did on the RD template.
Cheers Mate ...

Hi room217eu,

Correct, the one named "Short" is for the short "a" trailer (prefix "RDD" (ETS) & "d" (ATS) in the trailer files) and the one named "Long" is for the long "b" trailer (prefix "RD" (ETS) & "t" (ATS) in the trailer files).

Quote/ [room217au: "Using Geronimo's template, the artwork is still stretch both horizontally and vertically"]

As i said when I posted those templates:
"Hi room217au, I use the standard RTA Vawdrey templates, except that I resized the "short" trailer template up to 4096x4096px. That said, depending on the design, the "long" trailer can require adjusting to compensate for some distortions in order to match pattern scale and get panels/linework aligned correctly across faces and across the two trailers, which I just do by eye or pixel counting.

Looking at the Vawdrey B/Double in-game you can see that the difference in length between the long "b" trailer and the short "a" trailer is far greater than the difference between the "a" trailer and "b" trailer templates, so without making adjustment the graphics for the long trailer must be stretched to fit. On all of my Vawdrey paintjobs that I have made available it was necessary to adjust and rescale the designs to work correctly on both trailers. While this can be a time consuming excercise on a design like the "Blue Neo" paintjob, I saw it as acceptable in light of the fact that (as Freight Market Only trailers in their current form) the Vawdrey trailers are currently limited by the fact that they use the SCS company paintjobs for their paintwork, and therefore I envisage that this is a just a neccessary short-term fix until the update to make the Vawdreys Ownable under which they would benefit from the Owned Trailer Accessory Paintjob system.

I have started a new topic under the "Skins" sub-forum in which this conversation can be continued: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=1241

Thanks guys.

You're spot on Tony, getting this design to work on all of the Volvo cabs was without a doubt the most challenging of all the paintjobs I've done to date and brought me a lot closer to the brink of complete madness than I would like to admit.

But... I... think.... I'm... okaaay.... now..... :insane:

Ian, I always find a lump of 2 X 4 can help from time to time :spy:

That being said, ANYONE who does skinning has to be a little crazy to start with

"Blue Neo" & "Ruby Cubes" Updates for Owned Maxicube Trailers

Unread post #60by Geronimo_Express » 16.03.2019, 14:49

Hi Everyone,

I have today updated both the "Blue Neo" and "Ruby Cubes" Maxicube Paintwork mods for the latest Ownable Maxicube Trailers V2.5 and these are now available for download on the OziModz site. Each of these have been done so that it works as a standalone Paintjob in the Owned Trailer Configuration Screens while still working on the freight market trailers, and each Paintwork mod works in both ETS2 and ATS.

I have also updated the "Ruby Cubes" Volvo FH16 as I found a slight imperfection in the paintwork, so, after a quick polish, it's all fixed now...

Lastly, I have also released 2 new EF18HT transmissions, for Kenworth T908 and Kenworth T609:

Plus, 2 new HT775R Engine packs, for Kenworth T908 and Kenworth T609:

I hope you all have a great weekend,
Cheers
