Thanks Ian and yep ... that would be a very tempting run to make ... and ... the load might be a "tad" light by the end of it
Added after 48 minutes 27 seconds:
Metallic Goose
The end product with some changes such as a "textured" dark blue and "fading" on the sun visor along with a metallic finish; although, I am still trying to get a decent metallic flake look that stands out. All trial and error at the moment with more error than trial
NOW to remember where I left the trailers for it

Think I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew ... this is going to take some time to get right:
Added after 1 minute 11 seconds:
I really wish the Red Cab Emblem thingy was able to be painted ... that would make a big difference I think.

Ian,
Thanks mate ... have been doing a bit more to it and have fixed the "skirt paint" so it now matches properly; however, those lines are giving me a migraine
The other side, line wise, is completely different to this side with an additional 16 lines to be added so ignore the lines on the left side of the truck in the pic, they need to go and the correct lines need to replace them all. I also have to fix where the lines (on the right side) go from the side of the truck around to the football:
Just to "gloat a little" - everything other than the "kicker" and the "soccer ball" is hand drawn
Added after 6 minutes 12 seconds:
For comparison, here is the actual truck:

Heh heh, you like a challenge don't you matey, the "gloat" is hereby authorised
It's tricky when you've got diagonal lines crossing the gaps in the panels, especially when they are curved lines crossing a curving panel since they often need to be aligned optically rather than physically to get them to look right on the truck. Rather than derail your thread I might put something about this in the new "Tips" topic.

Thanks Ian and yep ... if it is easy, then it is boring
This Renault Template is ( despite my "bitch about it" - sort of) a very VERY nice template - just a little tricky to get the hang of for us newbie plebes (aint they they same thing ) oh well, it's late err early here
The difficulty with the lines is they start out close together at the rear and "very gradually" become further apart as they approach the front of the side of the truck. My problem is getting each of those lines to take the same shape as the one before while maintaining an equal amount of "widening" between them from the rear to the front. Add to that, they are also curved and not a consistent curve either.
The other side of the truck is even worse with the extra lines and those lines go from rear to front sweeping downwards at the bottom to being almost straight at the top as the round the front of the truck.
Anyway, I might have this completed to my satisfaction by the year 2525 ... sound like a good title for a song????
All I can say is whoever painted the real truck was a bloody lunatic! and has a LOT to answer for ...
My up and coming Renault is a little (read as a LOT) easier and being done for little more than "Shits and Giggles" - every now and then "simplicity" rekindles the confidence and all that other stuff ....

Anyone can have any of my skins if they would like them. Just let me know what one/s you would like and I can send you the .SCS file/s for it.
Or if you would like a Custom Skin made for you, I am happy to do that as well.
"Wow" Thank you very much. First i really enjoy your work i look side by side all looking good but when i could have one this would it be...
And another question could you make an Trailerskin with that too, for the ownable Maxicube Trailer for ATS?

Bommerman,
Here is the link to the "T 908 Legacy .SCS" on Mega. Please let me know if this all works as I have never used Mega for file sharing before. Also let me know if you have any problems with the skin what so ever ... that is important:

With regards the Maxi Cube Trailer. Yes I can do an appropriate skin for that trailer. The problem with the Maxi Cube Trailer is it has a "One Sided Template". In other words, only one side of the trailer can be painted and that will be mirrored on the other side. What that means is, whatever is painted on one end of the template will appear in the exact same spot on the other side. Unlike the Vawdrey Trailer, a Maxi Cube Skin cannot have a specific "Back and Front" to it. I hope that makes sense.
What I can do though, is something that doesn't have a specific front and back. Something that represents the colors of the Truck. To be honest, my advice would be to get the Vawdrey Trailers so you can have a properly customized Skin that gives you a Back and a Front for it.
Anyway, let me know what you want to do about the trailer. Bottom line is yes, I can do a skin for the Maxi Cube.
