Hi RTA
I'm struggling to skin the T609 I cant get stripes to line up. It appears to be because of stretching in the uv map. See attached pictures very bad stretching of the uv grid. Please fix. Love the truck. Also there are hidden objects under the upper roof section as text appears on the conditioner at the back of the truck, this needs to be moved.
Thanks for your help with this

This issue appears in the T908 as well. In the same places. It also happens with Viper's 389 and Wolfi's T610.MOFO88 wrote:I'm struggling to skin the T609 I cant get stripes to line up
I think you'll find it happens with all curved surfaces, (especially bigger ones) because the 'flat' 2D representation (template) of a 'curved' 3D surface (applied to the truck) is 'smaller' or 'shorter' and the Prism engine must stretch that 2D template to apply it.
I can only suggest that you use the images that you attached in this post as a guide, and while you're making the skins allow for the 'stretch'.
The images show how much they stretch, so you just create the texture on the template "squished up'. It looks weird on the 2D template? but will look good in the resulting paintjob.
The Maxicube trailers have the same, but slightly different problem. The sides of the trailer body stretch the artwork laterally. I think it was OziMods who figured out the percentage of 'shrink' required in any Maxicube artwork, to make it look 'normal' when applied to the trailer.
I even imported the Maxicube trailer into Blender and found nothing that 'stretched' the artwork. I even exported by own UV map and it had the same result. I do not know how to fix it.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts.. do.
