T908 Template Issue?
I have a problem with the T908 Template and how it transfers the "paint" onto the truck. In an attempt to positively identify what part was what, I painted each aspect of the template a different color:
When I put the "Truck" into the game, this is how it turned out:
Very little appeared as per the "Template"???
Added after 4 minutes 44 seconds:
V5.0 version...
While I think of it, I also have the v5.0 version of this tuck (not installed). Are the ETS2 details the same for it as the newer version that is giving me problems?
Can I remove the "new version scs files and replace them with V5.0 files and still be able to use the new version ETS2 details or, do they need to be changed also?
From memory, the V5.0 version template worked without an issue.

You used a v5 template with a v6.4 truck? Of course it didn't work properly.wombat457 wrote:While I think of it, I also have the v5.0 version of this tuck (not installed)
Whatever version of the truck you are using, you must use the template that ships with it.
Sure, the template may not change over a couple of versions, but it's always best practice to do so.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts.. do.

Hmmm, okay, the one thing I CAN do is admit when I screwed up!
I don't know what the hell I was thinking or where my head was when I opened the template. All I can say is I'm sorry for the screw up (on my part) - talk about feeling like a complete idiot and VERY embarrassed

What I think I did was this ... I have ONE folder with all of the RTA Templates in it (taken from the original download). All I can think of is when I made the T908 Folder, I inadvertently put the K108 templates in it and didn't pay any attention :(

You were right about the incorrect template. That being said though, the T908 template is terrible. Is it possible to get a "standard" template for the T908 as the only one/s I got in the download file were like this:
instead of the normal ones like this:
one that is clear and readable and like all of the other RTA Truck templates I have.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, just that it is difficult to use compared to the other templates being white lined on a black back ground. I have to zoom in so close to get the template detail, it becomes too difficult (for me anyway) to use. Was hoping there may have been what I call a "standard" type (color wise) template for the truck.

Thanks for that suggestion, it sounds like the answer I'm looking for :)
Hmm, well, just did that and it didn't improve the detail of the template unfortunately. This is how the template looks at it's normal size (4096 X 4096):
This is how far in I have to "zoom in" to get clear definition of each element of the template:
I don't know why RTA changed the way it makes the templates for this truck as all the others are beautiful to work with?

As an interim measure I've just put together a version of the T908 tempates that combines the original "clean lined" template with the new revised elements of the latest templates. Included in the file are both BMP and PNG formats.
Hope this helps
