Maybe Adelaide
Adelaide is a good junction point to all major cities and one of the smallest cities in Australia which would probably be a little less time consuming to get up and running than one of the larger cities. From Adelaide you have access to the West (Perth) and to the North as well as the east, Melbourne and Sydney. Personally though, I have no preference.
Hope this helps.

im gonna be the odd one out and say to start with south australia and then move over to perth then up to darwin then down to brisbane and sydney then finish with victoria once thats all sorted then you can work on tasmania and then fill in the middle of the country and yes the eastern states are a lot more complex and would be the hardest to get right so thats why i say start with either south australia or western australia because theyre more open states i reckon the hardest city to do would be sydney, alough i havent been to any of the northern states like NT or QLD so i can say much about them.

Western Australia
Start in Western Australia. Numerous mine sites everywhere. Inland road and coast road with heaps of little towns along the way perfect for pulling double and triple trailers on the open highway without much traffic

ATS or ETS2
I think that you should first decide with which SCS version to connect, ATS or ETS2. And then think about which coast to start.

honestly i can not stress enough how much that would be a dream come true! myself being from South Australia the Timber/ Forestry industry is some of the biggest in the southern hermisphere, and lets face it "who would love nothing more then to cruise the streets of the likes of "Melbourne" "Sydney" "Adelaide" i really dont mind which state gets done first aslong as South Australia gets done at some point, but looking forward to it..

sounds great
would like to see local businesses eg in Tamworth new south wales we could have parry and i would like to see road trains as stock and kenworth, western stars, peterbuilts and euro trucks. if you do all the major cities in that state it would be great.
good work to all and hope for the best

Any State to Start but as Somebody mentioned
Any State would be good to start with, But considering the Size and even though I am from South Australia.
There are 3 states of Australia that would be good as an easy start point.
Western Australia 1 basic track East to West then South to North up the Coast.
South Australia branches in 3 directions East-West and North
Northern Territory one Main Track South to North
All of them would give a Long load Hauling
been a lot of talk and Banter so 1 heck of a job, wish I had the brains and skills to start it.
I know I could get lots of cam footage from Truck drivers. As where I am its rare to see a single trailer.
40 percent doubles and 50 percent Tripples Then its Quads and even a rare 5 trailer b-train.

I am from the UK, United Kingdom, soon to be formerly of Europe, and I have always wondered why Australia has not been tackled before.
It would not worry me which state was used to begin, just begin! Obviously, I would love to see some of Australia's natural landmarks, such as Ayers Rock and so forth.
Cheers,
Stephen Butler
